The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® endorses Candidates for the Fall General Elections.

CARY – On Wednesday, October 9, 2002, The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors endorsed candidates for the fall general elections.  The financial support of these candidates is provided by North Carolina REALTOR® Political Action Committee (NC RPAC).

In the North Carolina State Senate races, Wake County Commissioner, Vernon Malone, was endorsed for District 14; NC State Senator, John Carrington, was endorsed for District 15; former Raleigh Mayor, Paul Coble, for District 16; and former Wake County Manager, Richard Stevens, for District 17.

For the Wake County Commissioners races, Knightdale Mayor, Joe Bryan, was endorsed for the District 1 seat; small businessman and Pharmacist, Tony Gurley, was endorsed for the District 3 seat; incumbent commissioner and Business Owner, Herb Council, was endorsed for the District 7 seat; and incumbent commissioner and President of Weeks Turner Architecture, P.A., Michael Weeks, for the District 2 seat.

In the North Carolina House races, Raleigh Attorney and CPA, Don Munford, was endorsed for the District 34 seat; Corporate trainer, Darryl Black was endorsed for the District 35 seat; State Representative, David Miner, was endorsed for the District 36 seat; Attorney Paul Stam, was endorsed for the District 37 seat; State Representative, Sam Ellis, was endorsed for the District 39 seat; State Representative, Rick Eddins, was endorsed for the District 40 seat; and State Representative, Russell Capps, was endorsed for the District 50 seat.

The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® is one of 1,800 local boards and associations of REALTORS® nationwide that comprise the National Association of REALTORS®.  The Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® is North Carolina's largest local professional trade association, with over 3,800 members.  The Association, established in 1924, serves as the regional representative for real estate practitioners, appraisers, property managers, and other professionals allied with the real estate industry.
