The Technology Fair
and Trade Show, slated for Nov. 13, annually draws large crowds so come
early and plan to stay a while. |
All you need to know will
be under one roof at the seventh annual Technology Fair and Trade Show, “Walkin’
in a Technology Wonderland,” on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
111 Realtors Way in
Cary.
Hosted by the Triangle Multiple Listing Service, it will feature 30-plus exhibitors
with the latest technology tools designed for the real estate industry. The
trade show, training sessions, and lunch and drinks throughout the day are
all free.
New this year, visitors will have access to laptop computers in the Cyber
Café. There, you can check your e-mail or surf the Web, and enjoy a cup
of coffee and snack while you’re at it.
“Beauty and the Geek” will be presented by real estate technology experts
Dick and Shelby Betts at 10:30 a.m. and, again, at 1:30 p.m. They will discuss
the new real estate e-consumers and what they expect from their agents, review
the various options of hand-held devices (PDAs) and offer some “A-ha!” moments
with surprising tips and tricks.
Mary Ellen Randall of Ascot Technologies Inc. will present “How
to Get the Most Out of Your Blackberry Phone” at 1 p.m. Her program will help
you tap the hidden power of your Blackberry, beyond telephone and e-mail.
Randall will cover such features as speed dial and auto text, and share numerous
time-saving one-key shortcuts. You will learn how to customize your calendar
view, add notes to phone calls and much more. Seating is limited, so register
today.
If you have yet to figure out Tempo 5, drop in on one of several mini-Tempo
5 training sessions throughout the day in the
Computer
Training
Center. Instructors from Marketlinx will review functionality and features
of the updated MLS software system, including setting preferences, conducting
searches, working with results grids, creating reports and more.
Many of this year’s exhibitors
are recognized as technology pioneers in the real estate industry. Among
their products and services will be third-party software, photography, computer
repair, Web vendors, digital printing, inspectors, direct mail and much more.
So, don’t miss “Walkin’ in a Technology Wonderland” to
get up to speed with the technology that can add to your productivity and
better prepare you for the future.
