McCrory speaks to industry professionals

McCrory speaks to industry professionals

On August 19, gubernatorial candidate and Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory spoke to a large and enthusiastic crowd gathered at Embassy Suites for a luncheon sponsored by the Triangle Community Coalition (TCC) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

The event was a unique opportunity to have interactive and unscripted dialogue with the candidate (Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue was invited, but was unable to attend).

McCrory discussed labor issues, expansion of vocational education and community colleges, and his 50-year infrastructure plan for transportation in the state.

“Our members and other interested citizens had an excellent opportunity to meet with and listen to the ideas of someone who, if elected in November, will have a direct impact on how our region moves forward,” said Mike Munn, TCC chair and NAIOP board member. “It’s important to maintain the Triangle’s success and ensure that it remains a great place to live and work.”
