Recognizes Recipients of Prestigious Community Service Awards
On December 13, 2006 the
Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® recognized the 2006 Community Service
Award winners. Each year the community service committee gives an award to
the individual and company who have relentlessly given of themselves to improve
the quality of life of others.
The award for Community
Service Company of the Year went to HomeLife Communities.
The following highlights
are just a few things this company has given in 2006 to improve the lives
of others.

Volunteered
850 hours and donated $90,000 to the Duke Children’s Miracle House.
-
Volunteered
20 hours and donated $5,000 to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
-
Volunteered
5 hours and donated $1,250 to Down Payment Assistance HBA Beauty Pageant.
-
Allowed
a Hurricane Katrina Family to move into a model home and purchased groceries
for them for 1 year.
-
Their
latest endeavor included making a dream come true. HomeLife Communities
recently blessed William and Linda Riggins with an Extreme Makeover of their
home.
Since coming to the Triangle
2 .5 years ago, they have been blessed and understand the importance of being
a good neighbor. They build affordable homes and are grateful to live in an
area where they can make contributions to medical aide and research.
The 2006 RRAR Community
Volunteer Individual of the Year is Larry Wollett.
The following highlights
are just a few things this individual has given in 2006 to improve the lives
of others.

For
the past 5 years, Larry has held the position of Standard Bearer Coordinator
for the Jimmy V Jr. Celebrity Golf Classic.
-
Been
named 2007 Tournament Director of the Jimmy V Jr. Celebrity Golf Classic
which oversees 200 more volunteers.

Over
the past 13 years of volunteering with the classic, you have help raise
12.5 million dollars.

of REALTORS® congratulates HomeLife Communities and Larry Wollett for their
dedication to helping others.
