Gary Rabon Installed as 2008 President of the
Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS®
Raleigh, NC (January
11, 2008) – Members of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR)
convene at a black tie affair this evening at the Northridge Country
Club for the swearing in of their new president and board of directors.
About RRAR, the new
President of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR) and
chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Advantage,
Gary Rabon says, “RRAR has the best staff and board in the business. I’m
excited about being part of this organization and working with all the
talented people involved.”
Rabon earned a bachelor
of science in accounting and economics from
East
Carolina
University and is founding partner of Rabon & Dailey LLP, an accounting
firm with offices in
Raleigh ,
Rocky Mount and
Cary . In 1995, Rabon acquired a single Coldwell Banker office in
Raleigh and in 1997 that office merged with a larger firm, Wythe Properties,
and formed Coldwell Banker Advantage. In 1998, the new homes division began
and new partners were added, and in 2004 they merged with Coldwell Preferred.
Coldwell Banker Advantage continues to grow and today the company has offices
in
Cary , Clayton,
Raleigh , Creedmoor, Zebulon,
Lake
Gaston and
Wake
Forest . It is the oldest Coldwell Banker franchise in the Triangle area
and has achieved the Chairman’s Circle from Coldwell Banker for the past
17 years. Rabon and his wife, Suzanne, have been married for 29 years and
they have one son, Mackenzie, 16.
Broker and owner of
RE/MAX Partners, John Wood will be installed as RRAR President Elect. RRAR
member since 1988 and Director since 2006, Wood is a member of the Top
Producers Council. He is also involved in numerous community activities
including the Holly Springs Rotary Club;

Lutheran
Church , Chairman Trustees, Parrish Planning Council, Capital Appeal Committee,
Building Committee; Meals on Wheels; past Wake County Habitat for Humanity
Board Member; Raleigh/Wake HBA and Triangle Sales and Marketing Council.
He is a member of the Crescent State Bank Advisory Board and a member of
the Town of
Holly Springs Downtown Development Board .
