Edwin Speas recognized as 2008
REALTOR® OF THE YEAR
Raleigh, NC (January 14,
2009) – Edwin “Eddie” Speas was
named REALTOR® of the Year by the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® (RRAR)
with his family standing by in applause. Speas received this recognition
at the association’s annual inaugural ball at the new downtown Marriott.
Involved in area real estate since 1993, Speas is a livelong resident of the
Triangle. He is the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Coldwell
Banker Advantage and a graduate of Wake Forest University. His long list
of accomplishments include his role as President, REALTOR® Foundation of
the Triangle, 2008; President, RRAR, 2004; RRAR Community Volunteer of the
Year 1999; Director, National Association of REALTORS®, 2004 to present;
Dean, North Carolina Association of REALTORS® (NCAR) Leadership Academy
2005-2007; Director NCAR 1999-2007.
Speas is a cancer survivor
and an inspiration to his community. He
sets an example by volunteering and participating in the annual Leukemina and
Lymphoma Society Triathalon and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Speas, his wife Polly and their son Edwin live in Wake Forest.
