Earn your SRES designation
Interested in working toward a Senior
Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation? Register now and start with this
two-day seminar in September taught by Mark Given.
The class is held at 111 Realtors
Way in Cary from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 15-16.
Some of the issues the course will
cover include:
- The range of housing
and development needs of the growing mature population
- How to create a personalized
housing plan for mature clients to reduce their fears and concerns about selling
or buying
- Different professional
services and lifestyle needs of maturing clients
- How to develop team-building
skills with family members and other professional senior service providers
in the community.
Registration fee is $399
and includes materials and first year’s dues. Register online

The course counts as an ABR elective
and NCREC elective.

The
Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® is sponsoring two courses in September,
which are approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission
for continuing education. All will be held at 111 Realtors Way in Cary.
On Thursday, Sept. 18, from
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Vicki Ferneyhough will teach the 2008 Mandatory Update
class and then from 1:30-5:30 p.m., she will teach the 2008-09 BICAR Broker-in-Charge
Annual Review.
Fees are $55 per class if
you’re a REALTOR® board or association member; $65 per class if not. Register

The full tuition fee less $10 will
be refunded if cancellation notice is received at least 24 hours prior to a
course. If a class is missed without a 24-hour notice, the entire fee is forfeited.

Business etiquette is
topic of next WCR meeting
The
Women’s Council of REALTORS® presents a seminar called “Business
Etiquette: Taking the Business Edge” on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at WCR’s
monthly meeting. The session is from 8:45-10:15 a.m. at 111 Realtors Way in
Cary.
The presenter is Cecilia
B. Grimes, a business etiquette expert. Grimes has worked extensively with corporate
clients by providing in-house training sessions on a variety of business etiquette
and dining issues, as well as authored several books.
This seminar is part of
WCR’s monthly meeting schedule and is open to WCR and Raleigh Regional
Association of REALTORS® members and guests. There’s no fee for members
