Homes By Dickerson
builds Habitat House
|
This home's construction is the product of the recent Builder's Blitz. |
Imagine
building a home in seven days from start to finish that’s ready for
move-in on day seven. As challenging as it sounds, that’s what Homes
by Dickerson and other members of a builder team did when they joined the
Triangle Builder’s Guild in the Homebuilders Association of Raleigh-Wake
County’s Builder’s Blitz.
The company joined one of five
builder teams who participated in the project to build a Habitat for Humanity
home for a family in need. In addition to general oversight of the project,
each builder took responsibility for the home’s construction for a day.
Triangle home builder
“going green”
Raleigh’s
Homes By Dickerson has gone green. Beginning July 1, all homes built by Homes
By Dickerson will be Energy Star-certified, meaning the company will build
all new homes in accordance with established energy efficiency guidelines.
Some of the new features in a residence
built by Homes by Dickerson will include the use of Energy Star-qualified
lighting fixtures, additional ventilation fans, Energy Star-certified appliances,
high-performance windows with protective coatings that block damaging ultraviolet
sunlight and keep heat in during the winter and out during the summer, and
additional insulation.

In
June, Windjam Builder Marketing Group played host to the Chatham County United
Chamber of Commerce Spring Fling at The Hamptons, a historic luxury community
near Jordan Lake. The outdoor event attracted approximately nearly 250 chamber
members. Guests were treated to food, a wine tasting, and live jazz music.
